Dana Bay B&B Guest House is a stylish 4 star establishment which offers not only great ambience and hospitality but our biggest asset is our spectacular sea view. We have an unobscured 180° breaker view. We are situated in the conservancy of Dana Bay a suburb of Mossel Bay on the ever so popular Garden Route in the Western Cape. Our location is easily accessible because we are on the main route between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. George Airport is 20 minutes away.

We have two units that offer B&B. Room 1 is also our honeymoon room with en suite full bathroom and kingsize bed. It has a balcony and direct sea view. The other room is our family room with king size bed that has an adjacent single room with ¾ bed that share a full bathroom. This single room is for a child older than 10 or grandparent. The family room has a side sea view. Our rooms have a TV (SABC), Tea and Coffee making facilities and a Bar Fridge with beverage courtesy bar. Temperature control has also been catered for with either a fan or heater. Our rooms have been decorated with attention to detail to make our guests feel welcome and enjoy their stay. Our family room is suitable for a business person. Our beach is approximately 900 metres away but we don’t advise swimming because of rip currents. Mossel Bay and Hartenbos (10 -12 km) offer swimming beaches. We don’t supply beach towels for our guests. Our B&B is a smoke free establishment. Guests are permitted to smoke on the balcony and outside.

Breakfast is served on our enclosed balcony where guests can enjoy the spectacular view. Our establishment borders a green belt and small buck, guinea fowl and francolin can be seen roaming the vegetation for their daily needs. Whales can be viewed during May till November and dolphins all year round.

We also hava a lovely spacious self-catering unit on the ground level of our establishment. It consists of 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It is well equipped except for beach towels. The flat is self-contained and serviced every third day. It has a TV, DVD player, CD player and video machine. There are braai facilities. Two of the rooms have direct sea view.

Our location makes us a favourable choice because all day trips exploring the Klein Karoo (Route 62) and Garden Route can be made from here. Nowhere else do you have as many adventure activities as you have within a 100 km radius of Mossel Bay. We also have the lowest crime rates in South Africa. Our location is also ideal for anybody that is recovering from cosmetic surgery. Our climate is the 2nd mildest in the world which allows guests to enjoy all year round vacation. Our winters are sunny and without harshly cold temperatures. June and July are the lowest rainfall months of the year. The roads are not congested with traffic and better service in restaurants and shops are guaranteed. It is also the ideal time of year to undertake outdoor activities i.e. hiking, deserted beaches or horse riding etc. as it is not too hot.

Things to do in and around Mossel Bay include Watersports, Bungy jumping, Game Farms – 5 to choose from. Restaurants that cater for all pallets and being a fishing port our guests are assured of the freshest fish available. Something worth mentioning is a Shuttle Service to and from 8 different restaurants. Boat trips to seal island, Sunset Cruises, Deep sea fishing, Shark Cage diving, Museums, our Old Post Tree and Shopping Mall. Fittness centres, spa’s and heated pools are also available for the guest who would like to spoil themselves. During harvesting season we offer guests the experience of picking fresh fruits from the orchids or strawberries and lastly the amazing Hanepoot Grape straight from the vineyard. When crossing our majestic passes the Klein Karoo offers wine tasting , ostrich Farms and the world famous Cango Caves.
